Home Progress June 6, 2022
It has been a month… a really crazy month! We spent much of the last month traveling to Denver for various things- a bridal shower, a family funeral, our previous foster daughters being back in town, and a wedding. We also had 2 days of a crazy amount of rain that resulted in the road and our land being a huge muddy mess. We really need to finish our driveway before we get rain like that again, ha!
Despite being gone every weekend except Memorial Day weekend, the barn is definitely starting to look like a barn! Zach has been working really hard on getting this up every chance he gets. We are so thankful both of our families have been able to come lend a hand in getting this up as well!
We still don’t have water or power on the property yet but we are hopeful we are getting closer. We had not planned on living in the camp ground this long but here we are…
We have a permit for our water well but waiting for our scheduled drill date. We are crossing our fingers and praying we hit usable water.
We have our contract and plan to run power with the power company however our meter/main box has been delayed for shipment. Without that, we don’t have power. If you have any secret connections or a meter main laying around for us, let me know ha!
We also have not sold our condo in south east Aurora, if you know anyone looking for an investment property in that area let me know! We have a tennant in the unit with a lease through April 2023.
Phew. Time is flying by and things are taking 349726479 times longer then we planned or expected. We were really hoping to be breaking ground on the actual house by now but that won’t happen for a while still. Until then, tiny living continues!
