House Update September 1, 2022

A little late, but late is better than never right? We have a barn that is ALMOST complete. This barn was a labor of love. Zach with the help from some family and a good family friend put this barn up from start to finish.

Zach originally ordered our custom pole barn kit from Menards back in February. It’s a 72’ by 36’ big red barn… hopefully big enough for all our future homesteading endeavors. The front has 2 sliding barn doors, the back has 1 sliding barn door. We also have 2 side doors we still need to put in.

A HUGE thank you to those who came to help with this summer long project, we couldn’t have done it without you.

OH and inside the barn? We have the exterior molds of our house build that were all delivered at the end of the summer…. about the only thing that hasn’t been delayed or postponed. Ha. It will be ready for when we hopefully start on our house build next summer now! (If you are questioning, yes, our original plan was to break ground on our house this summer but we have hit too many roadblocks for that to happen so we changed our plans. Did you hear, we bought a fixer upper in town to live in while we build our house instead of camper living? Because camper living for 8 months was enough for us.)

We still don’t have power though we do have a signed contract with the power company now. AND as of October 20, 2022 we officially have the gear needed to run power!!!!
